THE OWLS ARE NOT WHAT THEY SEEM
Old Guardian Building, Farringdon
September - December 2015

It had been six years since we had been involved with a large-scale theatre production when we met Amy Lord and Louise Orwin, a theatrical events and performance duo going by the name Lemonade & Laughing Gas. They were keen to produce an event in homage to David Lynch's cult 1990 TV series Twin Peaks and wanted to build the show around a classic American diner.

In the massive, near-derelict former Guardian building, we found a suitable venue and a company, Theatre Delicatessen, who would help us produce the show. The sprawling basement was transformed into the fictional town of Double Pineview, with bars, a police station, a morgue, and Wanda's Diner.
The town's weird and secretive inhabitants led the audience through Double Pineview, attempting to unravel its mysterious happenings.
